Haven Sent began with a simple moment of compassion - one mom helping another when life felt too heavy.

After experiencing a miscarriage, I found myself overwhelmed, grieving, and exhausted in a way I didn’t know how to explain. In the middle of it, a dear friend showed up with a mop in hand and said something I’ll never forget:

“Sometimes we just need to borrow another mom for the day.”

She stepped in quietly, lovingly. She cleaned my home. She made me dinner. She brought comfort in a time when even the smallest tasks felt impossible. What she offered wasn’t just help - it was much more then that, in that moment she was truly heaven sent.

Not long after, another friend of mine was going through postpartum depression. I remembered how deeply I had been cared for, and I did the same for her - cleaning her home, preparing a meal, giving her space to breathe. In that moment, the thought came to me:

Every mom deserves this kind of support. Every woman deserves to feel cared for. And no one should feel embarrassed or a burden asking for help.

Yet the services that existed felt cold, transactional, or impersonal. Typical cleaning services made me feel like I was failing, like I had to hide the very mess that came from living a full, demanding life. What I needed - and what so many women need - was something different. Something warm. Something that felt like being wrapped in a hug.

That’s when my husband and I created Haven Sent.
